| The stairs reflect the theme "Afraid" as they are sharp edged, dark spiral stairs that force the walker to walk slowly and carefully. |

| The entrance to the underground studio is formed by a cave-like opening to further add to the theme of "Afraid." The transitional space between the staircase and the exhibition plane is uneven creating a feeling of uneasiness to passengers entering/leaving the underground. |

| These spiral stairs combine the two levels of the above ground "Celebrate" Studio. The spiral structure was used to create a direct contrast between below ground and above ground themes. The ideal material envisaged would be wood/timber as it would provide strength and would relate to the artist - Malangi. |

| The transition between the staircase and studio is immediate allowing the passenger to feel welcome and comfortable. |
